They carried everything I needed to make cig kofte that isn't offered in my regular grocery store- pepper paste, ground bulgar, tomatoe paste, pomegranate molasses, and the shredded phyllo dough to make my own kunefe. They also have a variety of teas, Turkish delight, simit, and tons of pre packaged desserts. The gentleman at the front counter was just learning English, but he did a wonderful job answering my questions. They have a lot of international items, but the focus is on Turkish goods for sure. A little pricey, but still cheaper than getting them from Amazon. ”

“ Extremely friendly owners. Effie and Erdal always make you feel special. I love their meat. Fresh and cut to your liking if you call them ahead of the time. I love their cheese and olive selections. Their mixed pickle with carrots and bunch of other vegetable is amazing. Oh the turkish snacks, pistachios, tea, coffee and I want to name everything but you need to go there to experience it. Don't go there for the sunflower seeds because I buy them all whenever I go there :) ”

“ Mom and pop convenience store with a small assortment of mostly middle Eastern foods, including halal meats and a refrigerated section of olives, cheeses etc. Most of the goods however, are dried or canned. They even carry some German items like conserved tart cherries. They also have home made treats like Turkish delight. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I go there for one-off items like halva, dried medjool dates, date molasses or tahini. I wish the halva was home made but theirs is imported from Turkey. Still pretty good. Amazing spongy injera bread is delivered fresh from a local bakery every day. Ten pieces per pack are $6.00. I am addicted to the texture. It's like a huge sourdough pancake. ”

“ If you are looking for authentic Turkish brands, you must check out this place: from non-perishable canned food, fresh meat (halal) and dairy products, cookies and candy bars, to traditional teapots, tea glasses, coffee sets, this little store offers a variety of items. It has been around for quite a while, and the owners/servers are very friendly people. Last week, for the first time in all of my visits to this store, my experience with the meat section has been a little disappointing. When we brought home the boneless chicken thighs we purchased, we noticed that some of them had a pretty nasty smell. Assuming that they were spoiled, we threw them away. This is the only reason I did not give them 5 stars. That being said, we were satisfied with all other meat products we purchased here. ”

“ I always seem to be looking for something that your "average" store or market doesn't carry. You too? Well, today I was looking for Teff Flour to make Injera and some Bar Bere spice (extra hot). Needless to say, Albertson's, Safeway & Costco looked at me like I was from the Moon. So I headed to Whole Foods . . . and there I was treated cordially, but I could see in their eyes that they thought I was from Mars or maybe Jupiter! Not being the type to give up easily, I searched YELP-Denver and found Nazar International Market just a few miles down the road. Hoping that they could at least tell me where to get my ingredients, I popped in. When I told the owner what I was looking for he said "Sure, let me show you." Without the slightest hesitation he produced the needed items. They even had already prepared Injera from a local bakery. (I bought some to eat in the car on the way home.) Nazar is a small store, but it is packed with all sorts of wonderful ingredients from around the world. And the best part was the owner . . . customer service at its best. He wouldn't let me even carry the Bar Bere to the counter - - said if I dropped it I would be sneezing for days! ”
